Meena Matocha

American, b. Austin, Texas 1977

Lives and works in Pflugerville, Texas

Matocha earned her Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, focus on Painting and Drawing from The University of Texas at Austin in 2000.  After a long break during which time she lived overseas serving with a non-profit organization, Matocha returned to her native home of Austin, Texas where she now makes art full time.  Matocha had her first solo show in 2017 at the Asian American Resource Center in Austin, TX and has shown at Big Medium Gallery in Austin, TX, Austin Art Space, Round Rock Art Space, EAST and WEST Austin Studio Tours, and The Open Doors Gallery in Austin, TX.  Her work has been commissioned and collected by private collectors in the United States and Canada.  Matocha will be exhibiting at and curating the Pflugerville Artists show in the summer of 2018 at the Pflugerville Public Library in Pflugerville, TX.  Currently, her work can be seen at The Open Doors Gallery of Hill Country Bible Church Lakeline in Austin, TX.
